Ash diamonds from Semper Fides: a connection to a lost friend, forever.
When a beloved animal is suddenly no longer our daily and faithful companion, we have to ask ourselves with a heavy heart how we will remember an animal that meant much more to us than outsiders can ever know.
An ash diamond from Semper Fides is a particularly precious and unique form of remembrance, as it is created from 100 percent of your pet’s own body carbon. The finished gemstone bears the name PUREdiamond and thus expresses the fact that it was created exclusively from the carbon of your four-legged friend.
We have specialized in the production of animal diamonds since 2006 and are the most renowned suppliers in our industry worldwide, producing ash diamonds for our customers throughout Europe, the USA, Canada and Asia.
Order your gemstone in 5 steps
- Make an appointment for your memorial diamond consultation. We would like to take time for you and show you all the possibilities.
- We will present your options to you during the consultation, as you can influence the size and appearance of the diamond. You can read more details below.
- We require at least 300 grams of cremation ashes. If you do not have enough, you can add human or animal hair. Basically, anything that is organically grown and therefore contains carbon is suitable. Certain toys, leashes or collars are therefore a possibility.
- Once we have received the agreed deposit, we will start creating your personal PUREdiamond.
- As a rule, we need 4 to 8 months to hand over the ash diamond as your personal one-off. This always includes a certificate of authenticity. We guarantee that your diamond is made from 100 percent carbon from the sources you have given us.
You have these options for customizing the ash diamond
How would you like your ash diamond to be created? We present you with your options. You don’t have to decide immediately, but can take your time to consider what best suits your ideas and budget. The following options determine the appearance and the price:
- The color design for the ash diamond. We create the diamonds in white, blue or yellow. There may be slight color nuances in the white version. Whether a yellow or blue diamond is created depends on the processes used in the manufactory and whether boron or nitrogen elements influence the growth.
- The weight and size (the following mm specifications refer to the approximate size after brilliant cutting). Size and weight do not depend on how much source material you give us for production, but on the duration of growth. The smallest PUREdiamond for sale in Germany weighs 0.25 carats and has a diameter of approx. 4.1 mm. The largest weighs 1.0 carat, which corresponds to a diameter of around 6.4mm, with the middle size at 0.5 carats. We are happy to offer you other sizes after individual clarification of what is feasible.
- If you would like a rough diamond, we will polish it professionally. Our specialists are also proficient in all standard cuts – ask us about the possibilities.
- Engraving or lettering. On request, we will finish the ash diamond according to your specifications.
We work transparently in every phase of the order. Please feel free to contact us if you have any requests.
Part of our understanding of transparency is that you can visit our factory. It is located in the beautiful canton of Graubünden in Switzerland, near the main town of Chur. Perhaps you would like to combine a vacation in the mountains with this interesting tour? We would be happy to book an appointment for you.
The creation of the memorial diamond is shown in a video with the time increased.
How is it possible to produce an ash diamond in just a few months when it takes a very long time to form in nature?
In our manufactory, we recreate the process, which takes place in very deep layers of the earth of around 200 kilometers, in a kind of time lapse using state-of-the-art laboratory equipment and apparatus. Among other things, this equipment enables us to generate a pressure of 60,000 bar and temperatures of around 1,400 degrees Celsius. It is precisely these extreme conditions that prevail 200 kilometers below the earth’s surface.
After the natural formation of diamonds, it again takes a very long time for them to reach layers of the earth where we can mine them. For comparison: the deepest point on earth ever reached by humans is 3.9 kilometers in the TauTona mine in South Africa, where gold is mined. The diamond is the only gemstone that is formed exclusively from an organic material, carbon. For this reason and because of its rare occurrence, it is considered the most precious of gemstones.
