We create your diamond from animal hair in these 5 steps
The creation of a PUREdiamond from hair is a complex process in terms of its chemical and physical aspects. You can place your order with us in 5 simple steps:
- Get in touch with us. We would like to provide you with undisturbed, individual and detailed advice. It therefore makes sense to make an appointment for the information meeting by telephone or e-mail first. That way we can prepare ourselves and have time for you.
- During the consultation, we clarify your wishes for the diamond and help you fill out the order form.
- For a PUREdiamond made from hair, we require at least 5 grams of hair or feathers from your beloved pet. We will discuss whether you would like to hand over the hair to us in person or send it to us later.
- After receiving a deposit, we begin the initial analyses in our laboratory, extract the carbon from the source, convert the carbon into graphite and finally place it in a growth cell, where the PUREdiamond is created.
- It usually takes us 4 to 8 months to deliver your PUREdiamond. We will present you with your PUREdiamond as a personal memento, along with a certificate documenting the most important steps in the process. We guarantee that your PUREdiamond is made from 100 per cent carbon from the hair of your pet that you provided us with.
The versatile options for customising your PUREdiamond
The price of your PUREdiamond depends on the following factors, which you can determine yourself through your selection. You decide on,
- what size the diamond made from hair should be. The smallest brilliant-cut version weighs 0.25 carats. This corresponds to a diameter of approx. 4.1 mm. The medium size is 0.50 carats with a diameter of approx. 5.2 mm. The largest PUREdiamond weighs 1.00 carats and, with a diameter of approx. 6.5 mm, is a real eye-catcher.
- what basic colour should the diamond made from hair have? We can produce yellow, blue and white diamonds for you, although slight colour variations may occur in white PUREdiamonds. The colouring is created by incorporating a few individual elements into the diamond crystal lattice. A yellow diamond is created by incorporating nitrogen atoms into the crystal lattice. A blue shimmer is created by incorporating boron atoms.
- whether you want to hold the gemstone in your hands as a rough diamond or cut, we offer all standard diamond cuts. We entrust the delicate craft of cutting exclusively to partners with whom we have worked trustingly for many years.

Diamond from animal hair: 5 grams are sufficient for individual growth
We require at least 5 grams of fur or feathers for a PUREdiamond. If you do not have this amount available, you can also use hair from another pet. Another option would be to add your own hair. This combination will create a friendship diamond as a special sign of your bond with your four-legged friend. In principle, any organic, carbon-containing material can be used, including certain toys or collars.

State-of-the-art equipment and apparatus assist us in preparatory analyses, in extracting carbon from hair, in transforming it into graphite and in growing it into diamonds.
